EcoVibe Compostable Sponge Scourers are the must-have cleaning accessory!

The sponge part is made from a natural wood fibre called cellulose and each sponge features a natural scourer pad side.

- For everyday scouring - there is a side made from sisal cactus fibre

- For tougher scrubbing - a side made from loofah plant layers 

This is a sponge of many talents - it can be used on the kitchen sides, doing the dishes cleaning surfaces in the bathroom or even just cleaning up everyday spillages. It is 100% biodegradable, non-toxic to the environment and plastic-free (no micro-plastics - yay!)

If you look after it well, by letting it dry fully between uses, you will find it lasts for months without any bad odours appearing. 

Traditionally kitchen sponges are made from plastic and can€™t be recycled or composted. As they tend not to be as hard-wearing - they will only last a couple of weeks before being thrown into the bin. This means they are being sent of to landfill where they€™ll contribute to plastic pollution for hundreds of years before eventually breaking down into microplastics.

Looking after your sponge:

• To help keep your cellulose sponge free of nasty bacteria, keep it as dry as possible between uses.
• You can sterilize them by soaking for a few minutes in boiled water, microwave heating damp sponges or pop in the dishwasher with a drying cycle.
